She was an American dancer and actress, noted for popularizing the bobbed haircut. Louise starred in seventeen silent films and eight sound films before retiring in 1935.

Louise Brooks laughed when she was called an icon, refused to smile in photographs, claimed to hate Hollywood. It was even said that she had an affair with Charlie Chaplin. Oh my!
She is without a doubt one of the most iconic style and silent film stars of all time.

Her look is an inspiration and the epitome of the roaring 20’s!

What show currently has a female lead with a look inspired by Louise Brooks? (I’ll tell you the answer, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries)!
